We are a collective of artists, crafters, and vintage collectors sharing the character and creativity of the New River Valley region of Virginia and West Virginia. Our vision is to build a community and destination filled with unique and inspiring items and makers; a place with “Only Good Vibes” and good people.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Handmade items; original art; seasonal flowers, fruits, and local plants

  • Items that represent Appalachian culture and traditions

  • Vintage items (30+ years old)

  • Unique and original designed items, including printed items 

  • Repurposed or upcycled items, including furniture, outdoor decor

  • Artists, artisans, and crafters interested in teaching workshops or classes

WHAT WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING 

  • MLM merchandise or other mass-produced items/product lines

  • Damaged or soiled vintage or resale items

  • Art or craft items that are unfinished or finished in a way that presents a

safety risk for staff or customers, or makes items unstable for display
  • Items unsuitable for a family-oriented environment (18+ imagery, language, etc.)

  • If you do not have internet access, please call us at 540-626-3695 to

schedule an appointment to meet with our staff.

  • After accepted, Vendor Application one-time fee is $25.

  • Rent is due on the 1st of the month. Consignment vendors fees are 25% of sales,

rental vendors fees are 15% of sales. Sales paid by the 15th of the following month.

Benefits of Being a Vendor with New River Vendors Village

● The NRVV Storefront is in a high traffic area and great retail location.

● NRVV provides a cozy atmosphere, full of character and charm with like minded and gifted

merchants and artisans.

● The storefront is a secure and safe area for shopping and community interaction.

● A climate controlled sales floor with state of the art surveillance system (24/7) provides safety

and security for vendors and shoppers.

● Adequate customer parking is available on the street, parking lot across the street and at the

rear of the building.

● Promotions for vendors and events are provided through social media channels including

Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube featuring merchandise and vendor profiles,

● community events and general Giles County information.

● Newsletters and special events will be developed to promote the business and each vendor.

● Professional Point of Sale merchant tools and equipment will be used to handle all transactions.

Inventory management will be conducted with each transaction.

● Monthly reports will be provided in order to pay vendors according to their contract agreement.

● Store hours of operation are tentatively set for Thursday through Sunday.

Thursday and Friday: 11:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday: 11:00am to 4:00pm.

● The NRVV is dedicated to community involvement and support. 50% of retail sales from a

dedicated retail space called “50/50” will be contributed to a Giles County Rural charity. The

Giles County Animal Shelter will be one of the first recipients of these proceeds.

● NRVV will be a good resource for networking, staging and merchandising ideas, small business

support and troubleshooting.

● We anticipate starting a monthly gathering called the “Creators Table” to provide discussions

and opportunities for creative and business development. Becoming partners with other small

businesses, companion businesses and community members will further enhance the “Village”

concept.

● Future plans to offer classes and meeting areas to our clients and patrons are being considered.

This will create an even better connection to our community. In addition, it’s a way to share our

love for what we do or what we make.
